Tarika is the Digital Security and Authentication Lead at RBS group, which covers brands like NatWest, Royal Bank and Ulster Bank. Tarika comes with a wealth of experience of managing large scale digital transformation and fraud prevention programmes across geographies, in both insurance and banking. While at RBS, Tarika has led several industry firsts including introduction of biometric authentication on digital banking which received the ‘Gold Award for Best Use of Digital in Financial Services’ at the Digital Impact Awards in October 2015 and the ‘Anti Fraud / Security Strategy of the year’ at the FS Tech award in March 2016. Tarika also pioneered work on text message channel protection in banking working closely with telecom companies in UK. While at Citibank, Tarika has led the bank’s FFIEC authentication compliance programme across EMEA covering countries like Russia, Poland, UK and Turkey.
