Sujata Bhatia is the Chief Operations Officer at Monzo, the largest digital bank in the UK with over 8m customers. She joined in 2020 and is responsible for a wide remit, leading servicing, operations, marketing, design and people.

Before joining Monzo, Sujata was the Senior Vice President & GM Global Merchant Services Europe at American Express, where she worked for 16 years. Prior to that Sujata was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in London and worked at Goldman Sachs and Ernst & Young.

Sujata holds her MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.
