Shail is Global Head of Strategic Partnerships and Innovations for Retail Banking and Wealth Management customers. She is responsible for developing innovative propositions through partnerships. Strategic partners include Big Tech (e.g. Apple, Google), fintech and traditional partners like airlines, etc.

Shail has over 19 years of experience in Retail Banking and Technology consuting. Shail has been with HSBC for over 15 years. She led Cards Strategy and Analytics for several portfolios over seven years in California, and then moved to Asia (HK, Kuala Lumpur) before moving to London in 2013 as Global Head of Cards.

Prior to HSBC, Shail started her career with Citigroup and then moved to US where she tried her hands on a start-up. Subsequently she became a tech consultant with i2 technologies and witnessed the growth and burst of the tech bubble.

Shail is a mechanical engineer from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) and earned MBA from IIM A (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad).
