Salla Franzén is the Group Chief Data Scientist at SEB. She leads a team of data scientists working on analytics and applied artificial intelligence/machine learning use cases together with the business in order to inspire the business to become more data-driven.

Salla has a PhD in theoretical mathematics. After doing research in several complex variables, Salla chose to move to the financial industry and worked as an analyst at a hedge fund. She has been working within SEB since 2011. She started her career at SEB as a risk analyst, became the head of the index equity funds at SEB Investment management AB and has also worked within SEB Private banking and counterparty risk modeling at the group level.
