Kieran is a Backend Engineer at Monzo Bank and acts as Technical Lead for the Current Account product team. He has a keen interest in financial APIs and Open Banking, and recently led the development of Monzo’s integration with IFTTT.

He was the 28th person ever to open a Monzo account, and now spends most of his time designing, building, and maintaining the features used by hundreds of thousands of Monzo customers every day.

Prior to working at Monzo, Kieran researched neural price prediction engines at Skyscanner, and worked as a Technology Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Kieran holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and has received awards from the Royal Academy of Engineering, Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the British Computer Society.
