Josh Bottomley leads HSBC’s development of online and mobile customer journeys, and the use of data and analytics to create ‘intelligent banking’ for the global retail & wealth management business serving 38 million customers. He is also accountable for business development including the identification of Group-wide digitally-led propositions.
He joined HSBC in 2013 as global head of digital and before that he was global head of display for Google in California, overseeing a $5bn business and the company’s largest non-search revenue engine. He previously spent 12 years in general management roles in publishing, data and business services, working as managing director for LexisNexis and managing director of The Financial Times Group. His early career was at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey. Josh has an economics Degree from Trinity College, Cambridge and an MBA from INSEAD.
