Hrannar has over 20 years of experience in IT for financial companies. He has had various roles and responsibilities, most of them related to leadership or management. Currently, he is the Head of Technology Management at Arion bank in Iceland. He has been involved in numerous IT projects in recent years as a direct participant, steering group member, and supporting party.

Hrannar has studied, worked and lived in Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. He holds an MBA degree in Technology, Market and Organisation from Copenhagen Business School and a degree in Computer Science from the University of Iceland.
