Henk is an entrepreneurial business leader with expertise in building and managing profitable businesses, both Blue Chip and Start-Ups, particularly in (international) Financial Services, e- business and I.T. (digital services).
He set up Belgian’s first Internet Bank and worked in several retail financial services companies in different countries such as Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and the UK.
In the UK he started to work at Egg PLC in 2001 where he ran five digital financial services businesses (Savings, Investments, Account Aggregation, Prudential Banking and Insurance). Henk left as Director Investments at Prudential UK (parent of Egg Ltd) in 2007 and set up his own business. He built a datacenter and sold the business successfully in 2012.
He re-entered retail financial services by joining Post Office Ltd as Director Post Office Money running Lending, Savings, Foreign Exchange, Insurance and International Payments.
Early 2017 he became Innovation director for the Post Office where he started to focus on digital transformation. In 2018 he was appointed Managing Director Group Digital and Innovation in Post Office Ltd , responsible for overall digital leadership, strategy development and digital service delivery across the group. As an enabler Digital and Innovation supports the full range of Mails, Financial Services & Insurance, Government, Telecoms and Identity Services across all branch and digital channels.
In November 2020 he took on the role of Customer Experience Director standing up six centres of excellence including marketing, digital operations and delivery, user experience design, customer facing contact centres and service delivery, data analytics and channel sales engagement. Henk’s incisive and inclusive leadership style inspires his people to deliver change and customer centric outcomes, whilst maintaining core values of transparency, trust, and professional integrity.
Henk has a university degree in applied economics and a Master of Science in marketing and lives with his partner Kate in London, UK.
