Gorkem serves as head of AI and robotics at ING, responsible of the analytics functions of the bank globally.  As a transformational leader, he has been with ING for over 6 years, most recently as the COO of ING, based in Istanbul, and serving as a Member of the Executive Board. He was previously a management consultant at McKinsey and Company for over 10 years, with deep knowledge in technology, operational transformation and digital marketing.

Gorkem holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University, and an MBA from University of Twente in the Netherlands.
