Gaute is the CFO of Award-Winning Norwegian fintech company Payr. With a mission to improve people’s financial lives, Payr creates product experiences that people love using science, psychology and technology. Their mobile banking app gives customers control and financial wellness and has become an advanced marketplace for consumer services. Using artificial intelligence Payr is pairing users with deals that better suits their usage and needs and lets them switch directly in the app.

The startup has attracted major traction since its launch in mid-2017, as well as significant attention in the market both in Norway and internationally. In 2018 Payr was named one of the top 100 fintechs from around the world that are transforming the financial services industry.

Gaute has background from management consulting and has worked as turnaround CEO for several large companies within the construction sector in the Nordics. Gaute holds a Master of Science in Industrial Economics from NTNU, Norway. He joined Payr after being an investor in the company since 2017.
