Birte Quitt (47) is the head of “Group Retail Strategy” at Erste Group Bank. She is responsible for the development of the retail strategy for the entire group, ensuring our position as one of the most successful banking groups in Central and Eastern Europe.

The development and redesign of our retail banking business model for our 7 countries focusses on the development of a new value proposition and optichannel strategy, new business formats, the development and implementation of new branch & advisory concepts and the management of group wide projects on strategic priorities such as the groupwide payment strategy, the redesign of a groupwide leasing business and groupwide alignment on product portfolios and processes.

Mrs. Quitt has over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing Retail Banking strategies and projects as well as managing Retail Banking business lines in different countries. Before the current position, the graduate in business administration was responsible for the Retail Banking division at the Erste Bank Österreich; previous positions include the management of the sales- and segmentmanagement at Commerzbank and product management at Dresdner Bank.”
