Katrine Mitens is heading Payments & New Ventures in Danske Bank, responsible for the group wide innovation approach, vehicles and initiatives as well as the Payments area across the bank.
Katrine comes from a position running and developing of corporate payments solution to Danske Bank’s corporate clients, as well as heading the innovative payments initiatives.
Previously Katrine built Future Finance, the Danske Bank internal response to FinTechs, creating a digital instant lending experience for SME’s, making lending a smooth and instant experience taking it from days to seconds. This was Katrine’s first true agile experience, taking a team on a journey to launch the full solution in 20 weeks, running full blown agile and creating a new work culture.
In 2012 Danske Bank established the Business Unit, Business Banking and Katrine headed the Business Banking Strategy & Execution from 2012-2015, playing a leading role in the turn around.
The time prior to the strategy and business adventure, Katrine spent in IT development, where she was heading both the Loan and Real Estate Platforms in Danske, dedicating her time to large scale IT transformation programmes. Before joining Danske Bank in 2007, Katrine worked for Grundfos and MAN Diesel, leading various digital development initiatives.
Katrine holds a Masters in Information Science from the University of Aarhus, Denmark and is based out of Copenhagen.
