Kames started his career in the insurance industry as Deputy Branch Manager with Sinar Mas Insurance in 1997 and then Lippo General Insurance as Technical General Manager. He has then worked as Insurance Broker for Fresnel as Technical Director and for Aon Indonesia as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing before he joined JLT in 2012 as Sales & Marketing Director. Kames obtained his Master’s Degree in Banking & Finance from Monash University, Australia and is a Fellow and CIP of ANZIIF, a qualified Indonesian Insurance Practitioner (AAIK), a qualified Indonesian Insurance Broker (APAI) and qualified Risk Management for Insurance Industry (AMRP).

He joined AXA General Insurance in 2017 until today as Chief Commercial Officer for non-health business with main responsibility to manage all distribution channels incl. agents, brokers, bancassurance, direct, partnerships and alternative distribution channel. Kames is also in charge of the Technical Underwriting, Reinsurance and Risk Engineering Department.
