Josef is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of bonify, Germany’s first and largest independent credit scoring and financial advice platform with the mission to democratize credit scoring.

Prior to founding bonify, he was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company, serving clients from across Europe and Africa on questions of finance, risk management, and economic growth.

Josef holds a PhD in Economics and Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt. His research focuses on risk and regulation in the financial sector and is published in various academic publications. Josef studied Economics and Public Administration in Muenster, Paris, and London.
