James Longstaff is the newly appointed Head of Innovation and Delivery at Shawbrook Bank.

With eleven years’ experience in financial services and twenty in information technology, James previously worked at LGT Vestra, moving from from Raymond James Investment Services in 2015 with the objective of transforming the firm’s maturity in information technology and security.  During his tenure at LGT Vestra, James oversaw a major upgrade of the firm’s trading and portfolio management system, deep integration with LGT’s group IT infrastructure and an increased focus of the business on digital strategy.

James holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and has participated in the MIT Sloan Business School Executive Education programme with a focus on technology strategy and innovation.
