Ida Brá has worked for Arion Bank and its predecessor since 1999. She has held various positions within the Bank including Head of Financial Institutions, Head of Private banking and Head of Corporate Communications. Ida Brá was Managing Director of Investment Banking from 2016 to 2017 and is now Managing Director of Retail Banking. Ida Brá has served on the board of numerous companies and is now the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of one of Iceland´s largest insurance companies. Ida Brá graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Iceland in 1999 and has a Master’s in finance from the Erasmus Graduate School of Business in Holland.

Ida has been involved and responsible for redesigning customer journeys and deliver relevant digital financial services for Arion bank towards its customers. The bank’s development and delivery of digital services takes place in its internal accelerator, referred to as Digital Future, whose impact has increased digital sales by 125%. Today, over 97% of the bank’s touchpoints with customers are digital. Arion bank has been nominated to various awards and received several of them for its digital efforts in 2018, e.g. Most Disruptive Innovation of the Year by Retail Banker International, Innovative Accelerator by BAI Global Innovation Awards, 2018 Marketing Company of the Year by the Icelandic Marketing Association and two awards from Banking Technology awards.
