Haukur has more than 15 years’ experience from the financial industry. After graduating with an MBA from the US in 2005, he joined a leading Icelandic bank, taking on various different roles, ranging from corporate lending to investments to loan restructuring following the financial crisis in 2008 and asset management. He has been a part of the rise of the banking industry in Iceland, the complete collapse in 2008 and its rebuilding since then. in 2018 he co-founded indó, Iceland’s first challenger bank and the world’s first narrow bank.
