Gudmundur is a seasoned software architect, visionary and leader. Before building the company Spiir he has led development for Mbl.is (largest Icelandic newspaper) and Ebay. Spiir was the first account aggregator in the nordic countries to appear in 2010 and today the Spiir platform has more than 250.000 users. In order to automate the proces of getting data from banks to the service, an inhouse technology was build in 2013 that enabled users to connect their bank accounts and get data automatically. This technology is today a seperate service under the name Nordic API Gateway and it allows any company in the world to build innovative PSD2 solutions for the nordic markets today.
